Woodie Flowers Conference launches in Detroit!
$50 "rebates" for Macomb County Coaches/Mentors who register for this two-day event to be held June 20-21 at WSU
The Woodie Flowers Conference is touted as “a collaborative opportunity for FRC and FTC mentors to continue Dr. Woodie Flowers' legacy by inspiring mentors to lead, live, and teach gracious professionalism and coopertition.”
To be held at WSU June 20-21, the international mentorship conference will bring together passionate educators, volunteers, coaches, and mentors from the FIRST community. It is being organized by Woodie Flowers Award recipients, including Detroit-area recipients and FIRST Teams and is offered by the Woodie Flowers Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Over two days, more than 36 informational sessions designed to inspire and equip team volunteers will be offered and more!
As an organization, we are pleased to see this event launch in Detroit for the first time and encourage those who are able to attend. To help offset the cost of registration, MARZ is offering $50 rebates (in the form of pre-paid credit cards) to the first ten coaches or mentors of any Macomb County FRC or FTC Team who registers. To claim your rebate, please send the following to mzardis@macombmarz.org:
· Your name
· Your team title (coach or mentor)
· Team number and name
· Your complete home address so that we can mail the pre-paid card
· Photocopy/screenshot of your completed registration for the conference
You can expect a response to your email within 48 hours to let you know if yours was one of the first ten to be received (or not). See you at the conference!
